I know there are a lot of readers out there less than thrilled with Barack Obama’s victory in yesterday’s election. Past polls we ran showed a pretty clear preference within our industry for McCain. Still I’m sure even some McCain supporters are happy this much-too-long campaign is over.

And I’m sure we all wish for a successful Obama presidency. After all, in the end we’ll all benefit (even our readers from abroad) if he leads our country to better times. Do you think he will? Looking out over the next four years, are you more optimistic now than you have been in the past months? That’s our poll question of the week.

Tell me more too. I’d like to hear your thoughts on what the top priorities of the Obama administration should be. Whether it’s fixing the economy, energy independence, or ending the war in Iraq, email me and share your thoughts on what would be best for our country (and our industry).
