The HLS 7 Series stainless steel multipoint locking system features an exterior handle lock-out feature that suits the hardware for entry door applications. An anti-back drive prevents locking points from being disengaged from the outside by possible intruders, while a latch blocker prevents damages to the multipoint or astragal on double doors.
New multipoint sliding door hardware has two locking points, allowing optimum contact with the jamb. The 300 series stainless steel sliding door gear has retractable hooks providing a clean look on the door and jamb when open, and the mishandling device prevents the hooks from accidentally firing and potentially damaging the hardware. Manual locking operations eliminate inadvertent locking of the door.
An upgraded line of HBL entry and interior door hardware is now UL listed and ANSI rated. A portion of the line is UL listed–90 minute rated. A series of handlesets are rated ANSI Grade 2 for operation and Grade 1 for security. The deadbolt is rated Grade 1 for security, the highest level of rated security.
HLS9000 multipoint swing door hardware is for wider stile doors with 60mm and 70mm backsets. The systems are available for wood and vinyl profiles. Individual versions are manual tongue, manual tongue/shootbolt, manual shootbolt and inactive versions.
The HTL ultimate 2D hinge for wood and vinyl profiles allows for easy adjustment of the door both horizontally (±2mm) and vertically (±2.5mm) by simply turning a screw. The hinge features maintenance-free bearings, simple one pass routing for simple door preparation, non-removable pins for security and specially coated components for improved durability and strength.
The stainless steel multipoint locking system HLS9000 offers added security, tighter weatherseals, smoother operation and protection against warp age and twisting in wooden patio and entry doors by offering multiple locking locations along the lock stile. The system features a stainless steel deadbolt, a miss-handling device that prevents accidental locking point engagement and full size screw supports that help control possible bending of the gear.

Hurd Millwork

Heritage Entrance Systems feature a 13-point customization palette to meet the perfectionist’s need to create a desired sense of dramatic and personal panache. Options include 12 wood species; 180 exterior colors; raised mouldings and panels; varying proportions in stiles, rails and glazing; a selection of casing and trim options; sidelites and transoms; and a range of high-performance and decorative glass options.
ClimaGuard SPF, which blocks 99.9 percent of UV rays, is now offered on nearly all of Hurd’s wood and vinyl windows and patio doors. Homeowners opting for the glass won’t see sun damage to typical household furnishings for 15 years or more, compared to three years for standard low-E glass and less than one year for clear glass.
Vinyl windows and doors have been added to the FeelSafe line of impact-approved products from Hurd. It has also extended its wood line to include a sliding patio door in sizes up to 8 by 8 feet, and options for both monolithic and insulating glass.
A re-engineered clad sliding patio door now offers an all-natural, all-wood interior visually free of any man-made components. Optional grilles adjoin near seamlessly to the door’s contoured sash to achieve a continuous and clean appearance.
Hurd’s Historic Wood Window & Patio Door program provides renovators with countless custom options in paints, stains, species, glass and grilles. Custom millwork capabilities enable the company to replicate critical architectural details, including interior and exterior trim, stiles and rails, and accents like keystones, pediments and pilasters.
Kingsview arched and springline single-hung windows—featuring an all-wood interior—are part of an expanded line of arched products. Other additions include a new aluminum-clad wood arched swinging patio door.
Standard cladding finish options on the manufacturer’s line have been extended with five new anodized finishes. In addition, customers may choose from seven standard colors and 20 specialty colors, as well as custom color matching.

Hy-Lite Products

StormBlocker windows feature a polycarbonate reinforced core and high-strength aluminum frame, and are available in six sizes. They have been independently tested and meet or exceed existing Miami-Dade requirements with a DP-90 rating. The windows have a U-value of .37 and are available in four block types.
Decorative glass windows are available in three collections—private elegance, operable and transoms and sidelites. The privacy collection provides “above the top” seclusion with high-opacity glass. Operable windows feature a heavy-duty hinge and latch hardware for both casement and awning windows. A spring flower pattern comes in three sizes of transoms and three sizes of sidelites to accommodate any standard entryway.
Custom-sized acrylic block, vinyl-framed windows are available in fixed, round-top, archtop and half round styles. They are manufactured in 1/4-inch increments to fit virtually any rough-opening size required.

Integrity Windows & Doors

A bronze color option will soon be offered on the All-Ultrex line of fiberglass products. The new finish resists UV rays that can cause significant fading and distortion, a concern on darker colors of vinyl windows, the manufacturer notes.
The All Ultrex window series now features a double-hung and glider, constructed with the manufacturer’s pultruded fiberglass material. A patented coating process produces a superior fit and finish, the company reports. Also available are single-hung operating picture units, polygon and transom windows. The windows feature standard Low-E2 double-strength glass, and a standard heavy-duty sash lock and keeper.
An outswing French door is new to the Wood-Ultrex series, appropriate for coastal regions with its corrosion-resistance elements, dual weatherstripping and wood interiors. Wide bottom rails and French door handles give the design authenticity, while a standard keyed stainless steel multipoint locking system and fasteners add security. Transoms and roundtops are available in a variety of shapes. Various grille and divided lite options are also available.
SDLs are a new option to the Wood-Ultrex series, and Prairie Lite Cuts are newly available to the All Ultrex and Wood-Ultrex series. The SDL consists of solid pine interior bars and Ultrex exterior bars. Prairie Lite Cuts are available as SDL and Grilles-Between-the-Glass on the Wood-Ultrex series, and as GBG only on the All-Ultrex series.
