Dutch doors are available in several of the manufacturer’s styles, including Premium Wood, IWP Custom Wood and IWP Craftsman doors. The IWP Aurora Custom Fiberglass line is also available in a Dutch door style. The top of the door operates independently from the bottom, allowing more options for levels of privacy, security, noise and ventilation.
The IWP Aurora custom fiberglass exterior door features true 90° angles, a design detail no other manufacturer can achieve, according to the company. A proprietary manufacturing process produces a door that looks like solid wood, but has the energy efficiency and low maintenance characteristics of fiberglass. Builders and homeowners can create their own glass design pattern, and the manufacturer will duplicate it in the door’s glass inserts.
The custom carved interior door collection features a limited-edition heart design, and the company will donate $100 to the American Heart Association for each heart door sold. One door features a whimsical design, while the other has a more contemporary carving. The doors are available pre-primed, and homeowners can choose to paint them as well.
A 90° corner option on the manufacturer’s exterior folding door system allows two folding doors to join at the corner where two walls would normally meet. Folding back both sets of doors can open the entire corner of a room to the outside. Beveled door edges and double weatherstrips ensure that the units are sealed against the elements, even without a structural corner post.
Partnering with Phantom Screens, the manufacturer offers factory-installed screens as options for its custom wood windows, in casement, double-hung and awning styles. The screens retract out of sight when not in use, and slide into place on a built-in track. There is a matching wood cover for the screen and a wood handle to blend seamlessly with the window.
Auralast wood now offered on doorframes offers unprecedented resistance to moisture and a guarantee against decay and termite infestation, the company reports. Pine wood is treated with protective ingredients in a vacuum-pressure process. Nail and screw holes or trimming and sanding will not compromise the wood.

LoE3-366 glass features a specially formulated coating to provide 66 percent visible light transmittance and block 95 percent of the sun’s damaging ultraviolet rays as well. Certified by the NFRC and in compliance with Energy Star guidelines, the glass reduces unwanted solar heat in the warm months and offers superior insulating qualities in cooler months. A removable, protective film option is available, to protect the glass throughout the building process.
Ultra series casement windows feature clean detailing and matching extruded aluminum sash and frames. Some units achieve ratings up to DP-85. These also meet Energy Star requirements and pass strict impact tests. The sash are covered with aluminum to add strength, and finished with a 70 percent PVDF fluoropolymer coating. Many exterior trim and color options are available.
Wood windows and doors from the manufacturer are constructed of pine and embellished with a broad range of wood species, including interior casings and trim. Special requests and supplier-sourced woods also can be accommodated to match even the most unusual and exclusive designs.
Europe-inspired options for push-out casements and awnings feature an unobtrusive lever handle in an oil-rubbed finish operates a single-point lock. The sash swings open with a simple push of the lever and stainless steel friction hinges keep the open sash in place. Two screen options include a hinged screen featuring magnetic catches, and a retractable screen that can be pulled down into place. Units are available in heritage wood or Ultra clad units.

Koma trim products can be used for a variety of applications including window and door surrounds, custom millwork and other applications. Made from PVC using the Celuka process, the material can be installed using the same tools used to install wood trim. It does not require paint, but its micro-abraded surface allows paint, if desired, to bond better than with other PVC products.
